Abstract—This paper describes the design of a DC nanogrid solution for marina De Vlietstreek in The Hague. The current AC situation is compared to the suggested nanogrid. It is discussed how a DC nanogrid could resolve issues such as a voltage drop across the net, limited capacity of users and wasted solar energy. It has been discussed what converters would be needed to realise a grid like this. For every discussed converter, a piece of DC-lab hardware is suggested that will be able to make this conversion possible. The result is a suggested DC nanogrid that can be realised in the future with the described hardware.
